How soon can I book an appointment to shoot?
Appointments are generally booked four to six weeks in advance depending on the season,
although we do occasionally get cancellations and can often fit you in sooner.


Do you shoot on film or with a digital camera?
We shoot on film because you look better on film.
Printing from a film negative produces richer colors and better image quality than all-digital prints.


Will my photos be available on CD-ROM?
Yes. Preview quality scans of your photographs are provided on a CD-ROM for your convenience.


Can I bring my own music?
Yes, of course you can bring music—whatever puts you in the mood. We also have a selection of music
at the studio.


Who will own the negatives?
You will own the negatives and will be able to order reprints without having to contact the studio.
We do not hold them in the studio.


What is included with the shoot?
Film processing, proofsheets and preview quality images on a CD-ROM.


Do I need to book hair and makeup?
We have a longstanding relationship with a top hair and makeup artist.
While not mandatory, we do highly recommend this service. See the booking & rates page for rates.


Do we need to meet before the shoot?
No, it's not necessary to meet prior to your scheduled appointment.
All of the information that you need to prepare will be provided when you book your shoot.


What should I wear?
We will discuss wardrobe during booking.


Where do I pick up the proofsheets?
Proofsheets can be picked up at Fotek Photo Lab.

Where can I make multiples or litho reproductions?
We recommend Fotek for photographic multiples and Reproductions for lithos (MasterPrints).

Can I pay by credit card?
Currently, we accept credit cards for deposits only. The outstanding balance is due by check or cash
on the day of your appointment.
